About Victory Hill Farms

Victory Hill Farms is a practical homesteading and rural living resource created for people who want to grow more, build more, and live a little closer to the land. The original Victory Hill Farms was a small Nebraska farm that produced cheese and served the local community. The farm closed years ago, but the name still means something to folks who care about simple, self-reliant living.

Today, Victory Hill Farms continues in a new way. Our mission is to share projects, tips, and real-world lessons that help beginners build confidence in gardening, raising poultry, DIY repairs, and sustainable homestead skills.

About the Editor: Evan Walker

I’m Evan Walker, the editor and steward of Victory Hill Farms. I grew up around rural communities in the Great Plains and now live on a small acreage where I’m rebuilding homesteading skills project by project. Most of what I write comes from hands-on experience mixed with research from extension offices, land-grant universities, and trusted growers.

My focus is simple: beginner-friendly content that’s practical, honest, and actually useful in the real world.
